LemFi Review 2026: Is It Better Than Sendwave for UK to Nigeria Transfers?

Hi, I'm Chibuzor. I run Uk to Naija Guide from Awkuzu, Anambra State. I don't have family in the UK, so I don't run live transfers myself. What I do is check the public rate calculators on Sendwave, Wise and LemFi twice daily (9am and 6pm WAT) and screenshot them from my phone. That's what you see on my main live tracker.

Why check LemFi? Because in 2026 Nigerians in our WhatsApp group say LemFi beats Sendwave by ₦5-₦15 per pound and has zero fees.

Here's what the public data shows.

The quick answer

• LemFi wins on rate for small bank transfers. No upfront fee, often ₦5-₦10 better than Sendwave. • Sendwave wins on cash pickup. LemFi is bank transfer only. • Wise wins on transparency for big amounts over £1,000. 

If you send £100-£500 monthly to a Nigerian bank, check LemFi first. If your family needs cash pickup, keep Sendwave.

• Zero transfer fees • UK FCA-regulated (check fca.org.uk, search 'LemFi') • Free UK account number on signup • Transfers in 3-5 minutes to all Nigerian banks 

I do not test with real money. I compare the calculator rates at 9am and 6pm.

3 tips to save more

1. Always compare the final naira, not the fee. £0 fee doesn't mean best rate. 2. LemFi is bank-only. If you need cash pickup, use Sendwave or Remitly. 3. Check my live post before sending — rates change hourly, especially weekends. 

How I track rates from Anambra

Every day at 9am and 6pm WAT, I open the Sendwave app, Wise app, and LemFi website on my Samsung phone in Awkuzu. I type £100, screenshot the naira total, and post it on my live tracker. I don't guess rates, I don't copy from Google.

Why I started this

In June 2026 I saw blogs claiming ₦2,060 per £1 with no screenshots. Nigerians in our WhatsApp group were losing money. I decided to show real screenshots with timestamps so you can verify yourself.

My personal verdict (not sponsored)

I don't collect money from LemFi or Sendwave. From my daily screenshots, LemFi often shows a slightly better rate than Sendwave for UK→Nigeria bank transfers. But keep both apps — rates flip daily.

I'm not a financial advisor, I'm just a Nigerian man in Awkuzu tracking rates so you don't lose money to fine print.
